Main factors affecting the service life of Panasonic batteries

Panasonic batteries will not produce any gas in normal use because of the absorption electrolyte system, but if the users use it improperly, the battery will be overcharged, which will generate gas. At this time, the internal pressure of the battery will increase, and the pressure valve on the battery will be opened, which will cause the battery to burst seriously.

During the operation of UPS, attention should be paid to monitoring the terminal voltage value, floating charge current value, voltage value of each Panasonic battery, grounding resistance and insulation status of the battery group and DC bus.

Do not increase or reduce the load of several single batteries in the battery pack alone, which will cause the imbalance of the capacity of single batteries and the heterogeneity of charging, and reduce the service life of batteries.

Panasonic batteries should be installed in clean, cool, ventilated and dry places as far as possible, and should avoid being affected by sunlight, heater or other radiation heat sources. Batteries should be positively placed, not tilted. The terminals of each battery should be firmly connected.

Regular maintenance. Batteries should be checked regularly after a certain period of time, such as observing whether their appearance is abnormal, measuring whether the voltage of each battery is average, etc. Panasonic batteries will remain in charge if power is not maintained for a long time, which will make the battery's activity worse. Therefore, even without power failure, UPS needs to conduct periodic discharge tests in order to keep the battery active. Discharge test can generally be carried out once in three months. The method is that UPS is loaded - preferably more than 50%. Then, UPS is disconnected from the market, so that UPS is in the state of battery discharge. The duration of discharging is usually several to tens of MS depending on the capacity of the battery. After discharging, the power supply of the market power is restored and the battery is charged again.
